"La Pitchounette" my cozy 1 bedroom house with it's small terrace, enjoys an exceptional location in beautiful, medieval Goult, a two minute walk from the village square with its shops and restaurants. Come and explore! New! High speed internet! An exterior staircase takes you up to the entrance door and a small terrace with a table and chairs. On the 1st floor you'll find the open plan kitchen and lounge area and on the 2nd floor the bedroom with a queen size bed, shower, WC and an air conditioner for the hot summer months. If you’ll be bringing bicycles, there is storage space in the cellar on the ground floor. The house is south facing and bright and has been restored trying to respect and preserve to a maximum the old materials. The wood burning stove I found in a second hand shop and has yet to be tested, but there are also electric radiators for the cooler months. There is easy (and free) parking, just opposite the house. Come and explore Goult! It's still un-spoilt and laid back and perfectly located for visiting the surrounding area. The famous villages Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux and Menèrbes are only a short drive away. Avignon and Aix-en-Provence can be reached in about an hour. Italy, Spain and the Alps are a few hours drive away and from the TGV train station in Avignon you can be in Paris in 2 hours and 40 minutes... I also have a small loft "La Remise" advertised on this site in a hamlet outside St.Saturnin-lès-Apt...
Très belle location, beaucoup de charme, près des commerces de proximité, bien placée pour visiter la region, et l'accueil d'Eva très sympathique
A lovely little spot for us while visiting a creative retreat. It is the perfect space when you plan to be mostly out and about since the home is small. The town of Goult is quaint and darling. Eva was a great host - very helpful in all of her communication!
Eva was very easy to communicate with before our stay and met us to take us to her place. It was just as we expected, very quaint with everything we needed. Comfy big bed, small bathroom with good shower. Easy walk for groceries - good boulangere and places to eat. Close to other beautiful Luberon villages.
Goult (population about 1.200) is still relatively unspoilt and less touristy than the other villages and has a very friendly and lively atmosphere with plenty of shops and restaurants, all within a couple of minutes walk from the house. There is a grocery store, a butcher, a bakery, a post office, several restaurants and two cafés; Café de la Poste and Café le Goultois. There is even a Thursday market in the village. So if you feel like staying put, there is no need to get into the car. A few of the open air markets is a must though. The Coustellet farmer's market on Sunday mornings is my favorite and all the best goodies of Provence can be found there: fruit, veggies, wine (not to forget the wine tasting!), cheeses, cured hams and sausages, olives and olive oil... The markets in Apt and L'Isle sur la Sorgue are not to be missed either!
The village and the surrounding area, rich in history, invite to unlimited discoveries and, especially during the summer, there are all kinds of cultural events and festivals, big and small, in Goult and the neighbouring villages and towns. There are concerts, theatre, opera, art exhibitions, cinema... The theatre festival in Avignon, the piano festival in La Roque d'Antheron and the opera festivals in Orange and Aix-en-Provence are all internationally acclaimed.
The public transport is nearly non-existant. A car is REALLY necessary.
自我介绍
I'm a Swedish woman who ended up in the Luberon, Provence, the south of France (34 years ago already!), after having spent eleven years in the East Village, New York City in the seventies and eighties. It was rough... I have worked with a bit of everything from dance/ theatre and restaurant management in the Big Apple, to selling and distributing olive oil in Provence... I love nice people of all shapes and colors! Vacation rentals is my main activity (since 2004). See you soon in the Luberon!
