At the beginning I hoped it was just misunderstanding but sadly it happened to be a real problem between us and the host/owner/agent (Giuseppe) of the apartment… Before I made the booking I asked the owner many times if there are 3 single beds and I got the answer about apartment : 50 sq.meters and 3 beds. As we arrived (late in the evening) it turned out that we have only 2 beds and the whole apartment with bath was max 15-20 sq.meters. The lady at the apartment was very nice and helpful but she spoke only Portuguese and didn’t know anything about my communication with the host. In the morning the host sent me a message that he never promised me 3 beds (even if I had it I the message from him). We decided to leave and find another place to stay. We told the lady at the apartment that it was misunderstanding in the communication and we are sorry but we decided to go to the different apartment. On the next day the host started to terrorize us with very aggressive and accusive messages, at the end even demanding more money from us… Airbnb helped us to solve the problem and I received my money back Some information about the area: The house is walled so it is safe inside but the surrounding of the apartment is not safe and very poor. You need to have a car or to take a taxi to get to the city. The beach is not really good to swim (there are many rocks in the water). Standard of the house lower than expected.

We warmly recommend Barbanera to anyone. Giuseppe and Genice are warm and caring hosts, doing their utmost to be of help if you need it. We stayed for a longer period of time, combining work with a stay in an optimal location, with a good sea breeze and true natural beauty all around. Barbanera is spectacularly beautiful, so it gave a sense of gratitude being able to wake up here every morning. It s easy to find, and Caucaia (Barbanera) connects directly with Fortaleza along one of the main roads, across a bridge, but still near to the city.

Excellence at a promotional price! Wonderful stay because we could take advantage of a special price through Airbnb rate, much lower than the official rate of Barbanera, charming Hotel Excellence Area TripAdvisor. Taking advantage of the promotional price for the overnight stay, on arrival in the structure, on the outskirts of Fortaleza and the sea, we negotiated a breakfast and lunches always at special price with cash equivalent, considered the express cuisine and daily fresh products. The 'menu does not exist, because depending on what the land and sea offer fresh that day. Recipes with ingredients of Italian and Brazilian excellence cooked at the time and the right price, high level relaxing environment with pools, private beach and access to the public beach of Iparana. Staff is very polite, friendly and the helpfulness of management. Without any doubt a hidden gem that lights of Ceara Tourism. Highly recommended !!! Jessica & Family.
