Stay in this cozy, welcoming room in a spacious house full of character and style. Feel at home away from home for a memorable experience in London. Lounge in the living room with a book, prep are a feast in the kitchen, or enjoy some relax by the pond in the garden. You'll share the place with my 2 lodgers (each has their own bedroom) and my 2 awesome cats! WELCOME!! The bedroom is styled with attention, is cozy and looks out over the fairy lights in the garden. Ideal if it’s your first trip to London, or a local looking for a change of scenery. It's on the first floor of a huge, bi-level flat. The flat is in Manor House, a 5 minute walk from the Manor House tube station (Piccadilly line) and 15 minutes by tube to Central London. It's a lovely, quiet neighbourhood, close to several beautiful parks (Finsbury Park and Clissold Park) and a huge assortment of unique restaurants, cafes, lounges and hangouts, both in the Finsbury Park and Green Lanes areas. Definitely the destination for those looking for the best of what London currently has to offer, especially the indie vibe of Northeast London. Lets take a tour! SLEEPING --Double bed, with spring mattress, moderately firm for a good night's sleep. --Bed comes fully dressed with fresh linens and pillows. We provide four pillows but feel free to bring your own for a custom fit. --The blinds can be drawn to make the room very dark, ideal if you are a light sleeper, and the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet, so you’re always in for a good night’s sleep. COOKING The kitchen is wide, bright and cheery, fully stocked with all sorts of cooking supplies, kettles, coffee makers, teas, basically everything you need to make a five-star meal any time of day. Also in the kitchen is a washing machine; you're welcome to use our large drying rack. BATHING We have a bright bathroom and a half bathroom. The large bathroom features a bathtub and shower, perfect if you prefer a long, luxurious soak after travelling. Towels, hairdrier and shower essentials are provided, so you don’t have to pack any in your suitcase to save room. LIVING There is a large, brightly lit living room on the ground floor that is perfect for any activity--a night in sitting and relaxing, watching movies on your laptop, having a drink with friends, etc. I've kept the furniture small and mobile, so you can move it around to your liking and even open the room up to create space for yoga, meditation, or just hanging out. EXERCISE There are a few parks very nearby, including the fantastic Finsbury Park, the East and West Reservoirs and Clissold Park, where you can find plenty of green areas to run, let off some steam or sunbathe. There is also a weight set in the flat that you are welcome to use during your stay. OUTDOORS The house has a wonderfully lush private garden in the back with a pond, where you can enjoy a coffee in the sun, or sit relax watching the koi swim by. GETTING AROUND You'll be a few minutes away from a variety of transport stations: --Manor house Tube Station (connects straight to Heathrow Airport, King’s Cross/St. Pancras International Railway Station) --Too many bus stations to count, all headed toward central London. --A variety of night bus stops. AMENITIES --200mbps wireless internet (Wi-Fi) is provided with excellent reception throughout the entire flat. --There is a convenience store (in the UK known as "off-licence") directly outside the Tube stop that has great produce, a great range of groceries (organic too) wine, beer and spirits, and is open pretty late. There are also a variety of larger supermarkets in the area. YOUR HOSTS I'll be travelling but my cats will be around to make sure you're entertained and well looked after. They love a cuddle and are allowed outside (and don't mind getting stuck out for the day). A neighbour will come and check on them once a day, so no bother for you. The Italian cat is named Alò and her younger "sister," is aptly named Trouble, who sometimes thinks she's a puppy.
