Great stay, Michael seems like a good guy too! I much prefer this to some Airbnb where it feels like a soulless hotel and you never meet the host. This feels like what Airbnb was founded upon. And at the same time, he does not try to impose upon your experience! 5 ⭐️

Michael seems friendly enough, but actually has little interest in getting to know his guests beyond expected polite conversation. It is clearly a hotel-like attitude of detachment. The place itself needs a serious upgrade to meet Airbnb standards. The house is old and musty. All of the rooms, especially the bedrooms, have a strong funky smell. A low cost upgrade would be to have air fresheners in all the rooms. The curtain rods are old and bent, windows and screens are filthy especially kitchen window. Kitchen floor was not clean, rarely swept. It is clear that Michael does not want to put money into even basic upkeep, never mind upgrades. So for the prices he is charging it does not feel satisfactory for a guest. My room was $330 for 6 nights. He is making a substantial amount of money from these rooms but not putting any effort into upkeep. Michael clearly has other priorities like his music.

Michelle, Very nice person. I needed a place to spend the night. He replied to my messages right away. His place was quite and I was able to rest and sleep well.
