My group of eclipse chasers found the best location for viewing the 2024 total solar eclipse. We felt more like we were visiting family then renting a cabin. Stanley made our stay very comfortable and provided for all the necessary needs we had. We also had fun visiting the working dairy farm. Most of us are city folk and were quite enlightened by tagging along while Stanley and his Son took care of the 'Girls'. The most common comment was, "GEE! I never knew just how big dairy cow were!" After sharing Stanley's family hospitality, we felt more like family then cabin renting guests.

Stanley and Sharon were remarkable. They're thoughtful, polite, kind, and delightful. Stanley greeted us upon arrival. The cabin was clean and had all the necessities plus snacks for us and refreshments. We enjoyed the raw milk they provided us in the fridge from their own farm...it was delicious!!! Stanley was patient, kind, as he showed us around the farm. He was so friendly not just to my husband and I but to my two sons. He let us feed the cows, taught us how to milk the cows and always welcomed us to the barn chores. He let my sons pick up the eggs that were laid from the night before and feed the chickens. Sharon was sweet and thoughtful as well. She welcomed us with a nice delicious home cooked dinner the first night we arrived and a tasty lunch the day after. They both welcomed us to their barn and home with opened arms and provided us that warm welcome feeling. It was a weekend of fun beautiful memories and much needed relaxation. I definitely recommend and will visit again!!

Thank you to both Stanley and Sharron for a wonderful stay that included a home cooked turkey dinner! We enjoyed meeting the cows and chickens on the farm and were welcomed to help with the feeding. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The exact get away we were looking for 😁

Our time at Country Cousins was wonderful! We loved the quiet country air, breakfast in the cabin, and having our own space to be together in the cabin/front porch. We had dinner with Stan and Sharon two of the three nights that we were there (the friendliest people ever!) - the meals were delicious and they even asked us for our dietary needs for dinner. They asked how much we wanted to be involved in the farm chores, and they showed us all around the farm including feeding the calves/cows, milking a cow and letting them out to pasture in the evening. We even got to see a five minute old calf learning to stand! Outside of the farm, we explored downtown Watertown 15 minutes away (lots of history, but also good shopping and restaurants) and Sacket's Harbor. If I could give Country Cousins more than five stars I would! A wonderful place to take a pause, reflect, learn about farming, and enjoy a beautiful part of northern NY.
