Plus qu'un hébergement, c'est un endroit magnifique, dans une ambiance très accueillante. Le rapport qualité prix est imbattable. Si vous aimez la nature, c'est là qu'il faut aller sans hésiter !
Ze zijn dicht sinds 2020 maar blijven actief op deze site. Zelfs nadat wij er niets heen gereden zijn- en dat is een behoorlijk lange en dure rit. Er zijn studenten en die waren aardig, we kregen er lunch maar moesten toen op stel en sprong een andere locatie zoeken.
A good place to see the nature
Great place perfect for rainforest-experiences, hiking, eating fruits at the garden and plantations, really excellent food homemade by the young volunteers fresh from the gardens, hostelfeeling, place for forgetting the world
I spent 3 nights at the Richmond Vale Hiking & Dive Centre. I can't recommend the place too highly. I was going for a family vacation in St. Vincent, and wanted to get there 3 days early to explore the island. The hosts who are the Administrators at this Centre are honest and very helpful. David is awesome to deal with. This is also a school on sustainable living, where many students lodge and come from around the world, the students were very friendly too me and invited me out to a social they had one night. I was able to hike up the Soufriere Volcano with a great guide from the Centre, visit the Dark view falls and take a swim in a volcanic beach with black sand. The town of Chautelbair is closeby and the local St. Vincentians are very friendly, honest and the food/drinks in the town is quite affordable. Please visit for a night out to Banners Bar and Grill. The highlights of the centre/room itself is it is quite affordable, i found the rooms, clean, comfy and very cool even in the middle of the day. I slept like a baby lol! The location is far from the Capital, but perfect for hiking, diving and other natural activities, also the windows in my room didn't lock, but you can leave any valuables in their office if need be. Again its a great spot to enjoy nature, hiking and the volcano, the centre can arrange for someone to pick you up from the airport for a reasonable price and it is great place to socialize with the students and residents.

Richmond Vale Academy's Nature and Hiking Center is located at the North Leeward side of St. Vincent, Eastern Caribbean. The Nature and Hiking Center is part of Richmond Vale Academy, a Non Profit Organization. Here, we train voluntees to go to development help projects in Central America. Also we are engaged in different activities involving sustainable farming, education and enviromental protection in St. Vincent. We live a collective life in an international enviroment. Teachers, volunteers and workers from all over the world, with different backgrounds and cultures work and live together. Guest are welcome to socialize with our group but it's not a must. You can also come to immerse yourself in the peaceful nature surrounding us. When you choose to stay with us or enjoy one of our activities you help us to fund our current humanitarian efforts.
