The place is well appointed, and the host Paola is kind and accommodating. It is in nature and slightly isolated. There are many insects (it could have been the time of year we visited.) Flies, horse flies, ants, moths, and beetles could be found both inside and out of the house. You need to keep food and waste covered and stored away. Unfortunately, we ended up canceling our booking after two close encounters with scorpions the first night in the bathroom and bedroom and seeing other scorpions in the kitchen. Fortunately we were not stung, but did not wish to take the risk. I hope Paola and Gianluca will be able to address this issue as they have put a lot of effort to make the place a beautiful nature hide away. On another note the place does not have good cellphone coverage nor internet access. This adds to the sense of isolation and disconnection. This could be a benefit or hindrance .. depending on what you look for in a getaway.

My wife and I were looking for a place in the country out of town as a base for visiting the area and particularly the Gran Sasso National Park. This home has many very unique feature and it was fun to be there.

Lovely & peaceful - exactly what we were hoping it would be. A bit remote, so stock up before you arrive. Comfortable and clean. We will definitely go back
