This is an excellent place to relax and bath in the beauty of the Andes. Phil and Suzanne are gracious, kind and helpful. The walk to town is mostly down hill and only takes about 25 minutes. The walk back up is doable but more challenging. However, the taxi up is only $2.50. Overall, a very nice stay.

This place was magical!! Phill and Suzanne were super generous and amazing hosts! The garden and views on the property were epic!! One of my favorite airbnb stays of all time!

Well, I originally decided to visit Vilcabamba for some time and space away from it all but came away with much better— a beautiful new friendship and subsequently a place I’ll return to one day. Phil is a special person, someone you rarely get to meet in life but should count your lucky stars when you do. From waiting for me at the gate when I arrived, to sharing a handful of dinners with me in town, to providing me with advice and support throughout my stay, Phil proved time and again that Airbnb is far from his end-all. Naturally, the space and community Phil has created are beautiful and ever growing, it’s hard not to be enriched and inspired here. Phil, you are a gem of a human and I can’t wait to see you again. Thank you for all that you are and welcoming me in with open arms.

Everything great. As already mentioned by someone, prepare to walk a little because it's not right in the center. But its a plus. I would certainly stay again. Highly recommend.
