... is a beautiful country house of 1810, made of stone walls, a wooden roof and floor. It is located in a quiet street in the old town of Garachico. The furnished roof terrace of 80sqm has some wonderful views to the sea, the town and the mountains.

Un joli logement, avec surtout une très belle terrase. Même s'il faut la partager avec une autre chambre, ça fait tout le charme de cet appartement. Bon accueil, appartement bien tenu !
Katrin hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und hat auch in der Küche eine Erstausstattung mit Sekt, Cola, Gewürzen etc. zur Verfügung gestellt. Das Appartement ist relativ genau beschrieben. Es handelt sich um ein typisches kanarisches 1-Zimmer Haus welches neu renoviert wurde und wirklich eine tolle Terrasse hat. Es ist allerdings sehr hellhörig und nicht sehr funktionell (schlechte Lichtquellen, alte Dusche mit wenig Warmwasser welches gerade so für 2 Personen Kurzdusche reicht, keine Lichtquelle auf der Terrasse, Kleiderschrank fehlt). Da wir sehr intensive Internetnutzer sind (Nachrichten, email, Geschäftliche Dinge etc. ) hat uns eigentlich am meisten geärgert, dass im Apartment kein Internet zur Verfügung steht. Das ist aus der Beschreibung nicht ersichtlich (Kostenlose Internetverbindung, die bis auf die Terrasse reicht, ist auch gegeben.). Alles in allem finden wir das Apartment insgesamt ok, aber deutlich überteuert.
Nous sommes revenus à Garachico et nous sommes revenus à la casa canarina.Ce lieux simple est vraiment charmant ,nous l'aimons beaucoup.Katrin est très accueillante et fait tout pour que vous sentiez bien.Elle a des petites attentions pour ses hôtes;fleurs,fruits,cava.La terrasse à elle seule vaut le détour !Quel plaisir d'y déjeuner tout les matins en regardant la mer!Que du plaisir!
Vielen Dank für die schöne Woche, die wir in Garachico verbringen durften. Die Restaurantempfehlungen waren klasse.

A 3-5 minutes walk takes you, walking through a garden with an old wine press and the habour port gate 'Puerta de Tierra' from the 16th century, to reach the mayor square of Garachico with its historic buildings and churches. good restaurants and many shops for food, jewelry, arts and crafts, leather, pottery, trade supplies, coffee + tea, flowers, fruit and vegetables, sports equipment, clothing, etc, bars and ice cream parlors, a post office, three banks, two chemists and two medical centers can be found at this distance.
It takes a 5 - 8 minute walk to reach the municipal swimming pool, the tenniscourts and the soccerfield just in front of the big rock of Garachico.
It takes a 12 to 17 minute walk, a stroll along the waterfront, to the chapel 'San Roque' and the new marina, which has been opened in the summer of 2012 ... and that's about reaching the end of the old part of Garachico by the sea.
On foot, directly from the casa canarina are hiking trails leading up into the mountains.
All this is farther away, but definitely worth seeing, such as pretty large towns and small villages, the Cañadas del Teide, the mountains of Anaga and Teno... is best reached by a rental car. But the bus connections from Garachico are not bad either. Every hour public busses stop here to go in the direction: Buenavista or Icod de los vinous to go further afield - anywhere on the island.
