We hebben van begin tot eind genoten van een geweldig verblijf in het huis van Máire en Joe. Het staat in een prachtige en rustige omgeving, alle drie de generaties van ons gezelschap voelden zich er erg thuis. Máire is een bijzonder hartelijk, gastvrij, behulpzaam en warm persoon die niets zal nalaten om je je welkom te laten voelen. Kortom, het heeft helemaal aan onze verwachtingen (en meer) voldaan en wij zullen heel graag nog een keer terugkomen! Heel veel dank!

Máire's Lakeside Haven is a wonderful place to hide away from the world and unwind. It's very peaceful, and in such a beautiful area. It's a great place to bond with family over board games and movies, relax with a good book, or even write one! Still, Gort is easily accessible by car and has everything one needs for day-to-day life. And there are so many day trip options it was hard to choose what to do! Our favourite thing was driving 12 minutes to Coole Park and soaking up the natural beauty of the trees and lake while strolling along the paths, and grabbing some delicious lunch at the cafe there. (The vegetarian options were great!) The kitchen is clean and functional, the bedding was fresh, crisp and smelled lovely and the living space was cosy. We really liked the large en-suite bathroom, too. But the thing that really made it great is Máire. She's so kind, clearly cares deeply about her guests, and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy and has what they need.

We really enjoyed our stay in Máires appartment. It looked like the photos. Also, to our surprise we found a full fridge and fresh fruit when we arrived. Máire and Joe are very welcoming and always replied fast - communication was therefore very easy. Thank you for having us!

Quiet and peaceful location, yet an easy drive to key attractions. Marie’s place was clean and comfortable, and the accessible facilities on ground level were perfect for our elderly family member. Would definitely recommend.
