Upon arriving to the house we got greeted by Franco and his brother who were very friendly and welcoming. Now for the part I did not appreciate: you get get asked to leave a 300€ deposit, from which we were deducted 150€ final cleaning fee, 100€ heating charge (keep in mind we had mild temperatures). So of the deposit I got 50€ back. Not really in line with Airbnb policies. The house itself is amazing and the views are stunning, you will find peace and quiet amongst the olive trees. Beware if you have small kids or pets there is rat/mouse poisen distributed in most rooms. It should really be removed before guests arrive!

Casanova dei Boschi could not be any more authentic and beautiful!! Filippo and Mr Marco were fantastic to work with and the setting outside of Montepulciano is divine! The Villa built in the 1700’s is just absolutely full of charm but has modern bathrooms and all the updated appliances you need to fully enjoy the Villa! I have already referred several friends to Casanova dei Boschi and hopefully we will return one day!! Thank you Filippo for sharing your wonderful Villa with travelers from around the world like us!! We really enjoyed our stay in September 2023. The villa had a great situation and we really enjoyed the peace and tranquility - along with the chef cooked dinner on the first night by Antonella. Great place to stay and I would recommend to anyone - only downside was the electricity charge which was surprisingly high considering it was out of season and we were out most days so the A/C got limited use. It did not detract from our overall enjoyment - beautiful place with a fantastic setting looking towards Pienza. We should have stayed for longer!!

The thing that stands out is the beauty of the property. The home itself is also beautiful. We were surprised that there were no amenities what so ever so make sure you have you own soap, shampoo, and the like. There is a washing machine which was greatly appreciated but you’ll need to buy detergent. A highlight was the meal we had prepared by Ms Elisabeth- simply marvelous- so nice to sit outside and eat outside while eating the best Montepulciano has to offer. Despite some misgivings about a separate electricity charge this was as promised by the host a non issue. The 45€ for four nights was very reasonable. The separate cleaning deposit/charge was also simply deducted from our initial security deposit. I should also note that the road into/out of the home is a bit bumpy and we learned that Apple Maps do not filter for dirt roads. When we drove to Montalcino, we turned right on the road fronting the property- that was one rough, rutted ride - very glad we had an suv.

Absolutely beautiful and high standing place. The view is spectacular, and the dinning table outside is perfectly set so that it is always in the shade. A big plus in high heat Summer days. We got to enjoy some of the fruits from the fruit trees on the property: figs, plums, pears and apples. A real threat. The house is super well kept with high-quality comfortable beds, antique furniture, and a fully equipped kitchen. Service provided by Filippo and is team is outstanding: local recommendations, in-person assistance within a few hours of contacting. I could not have asked for a better place.
