"Skip's" place is wonderful. It is in a lovely setting in rural vermont. The house has large windows overlooking the land, and letting the sunshine in. Had a nice time walking around the property. I highly recommend the place especially if you want a quiet spot with nature all around. I hope I can get back some time soon. I was there early spring, but imagine it is equally lovely all seasons of the year. Comfortable beds, big dining area, no issues whatsoever. Matthew was very good at communicating with directions.

This was the perfect spot to spend time with young families with children. Very kid-friendly accommodations with a stash of toys, relaxing and quiet setting. No neighbors nearby but not far off the main road. We enjoyed walks in the country and meals complimented by the local farm market. Everyone enjoyed it. We’ll do it again, for sure.

What an incredible place! Truly a diamond in the rough. If you are looking for a quiet, serene, peaceful experience, this is the place to be. We were blown away with how warm and inviting it all was. You can tell that this is a well loved home and can cater to any crowd with all the board games and toys for kids. They really thought of everything we may need with plenty of instruction and helpful tips. Would love to come back here again!

My family and I had a very nice stay at Skip's cabin! It was just what we were looking for, secluded, relaxing and quiet (except for the occasional "moo" from the adorable neighboring highland cows). We brought our 2 dogs and they loved going for walks on the property. We had initially hoped to bring up our snowmobiles with us to ride, because the VAST trails are right near the property, but there wasn't enough snow, so we just played board games, watched movies and relaxed with some beautiful scenery. If you're looking for a place to go to relax and get away from the fast-paced lifestyle, this is just the place!

Great experience! The house is clearly a labor of love, originally a log cabin built by the current owner's father and expanded over the years. It maintains the sense of a much-loved family retreat, feeling very personal though not as if you're intruding on someone's home; and our interactions with the owner were just like that, too -- he clearly wanted us to enjoy his place as much as he has, and worked hard to make that happen. He was wonderful and personable in his responses, and made special efforts to accommodate even our rather odd requests. The house is very well-equipped, and the kitchen had everything we could want to make family meals. We were there during cold, snowy weather, which made the location beautiful and idyllic. Our stay here worked out very well in conjunction with renting the airbnb on the adjacent property for the rest of our family. Highly recommended.
