Once again Carol welcomed us to her home. Her professional yet friendly nature is the perfect combination for a hostess who makes every effort to ensure the little things are ‘just right’. Everything is spotlessly clean with a welcome which says ‘do come and stay in my home’. Each morning Carol opens her kitchen dining area and while she prepares your delicious breakfast there’s a cheerful, easy chat, in beautiful surroundings over looking her garden. The house is in the most spectacular area with plenty for visitors to do. This time, we visited Abbotsford, the ancestral home of Sir Walter Scott. The annual Melrose Rugby Sevens competition was being set up but sadly we werent able to stay for that and we ran out of time to explore the local woods by Carols but we heard the Woodpeckers aplenty .. beautiful. And we’ve yet to spot a deer on her front lawn .. if you love a place which is peaceful, pristine, close to nature and amenities, you won’t be sorry you booked in at Carols.

We cannot express how impressed we were with our experience. From the moment we booked the reservation, Carol was extremely communicative and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a beautifully decorated space that exceeded our expectations. The property itself was exceptionally clean, with beautiful art work, and filled with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. One of the highlights as well was an absolutely delicious breakfast while having a lovely chat with Carol. Overall, our experience staying in Carol's home was nothing short of exceptional. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable accommodation during their travels. Thank you to Carol for providing such a fantastic stay!
