My cottage leads out to apricot, apple trees and wild roses. This area promises complete privacy, where you can be yourself, away from the rest of the world. It is easy to feel at home in this spic and span room decorated with a dash of local Ghawali handicrafts hand-sewn by the Panwar family. This Alpine Cottage With full amenities including a built-in toilet with hot shower facilities, a kettle jug, room heater, electrical points, it is like a self-cointained studio where one can spend a leisure day indoors. Admire the beautiful view of the Himalayan mountains or dazzling, starry night sky from your windows.

worst room I've stayed in, the lock housing was exposed meaning it wasn't difficult to break into our room, beds were extremely uncomfortable, No ventilation in bathroom (no extractor fan ) leaving the bathroom dirty , misty after taking a shower and leaving it smelly after using the loo
pros - its a cottage..u will enjoy the open environment of forest and hill. cons - costly according to arrangement. - outside food is not allowed is rule in his cottage which he has not given in website. - food is also costly in his place. - insects in room . overall hospitality is not good.

In winter, it is the ideal place for skiing. Located only a mere hour away from the famous Valley of Flowers (World Heritage Site) and highly religious Hemkund and Bardinath temple. Auli skeing is only 5 km from my place .
Air: The nearest airport from Auli is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun (303.9km). There are many connecting flights between Dehradun and other Indian cities.
Road: The last stop before the Tibet border, Auli is 13km from Joshimath by road. 253km from Rishikesh, 277km from Haridwar, 298km from Dehradun and 500km from Delhi. One can hire a sharing jeep from any of these cities to Joshimath or take the local bus.
Rail: The nearest railhead from Auli is at Haridwar (300km). One can take the Shatabdi Express from Delhi (6hrs) to Haridwar. It is linked to other big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Allahabad etc.
Cable Car: The most popular way to reach Auli is by the record holding longest cable car in Asia. Its 25 min journey would give you a birds eye view on the captivating beauty of the scenery
