A hidden gem. This was by far the best Airbnb experience my family and I have ever had. Andrea and Andreas were delightful hosts. They live on the property in a neighboring house and were attentive to all our needs throughout the stay. This is a special property. It's located approximately 1 hour 50 minutes drive from Lisbon. We flew in and rented a car. The drive there was beautiful, taking small roads through the olive and cork groves of the Portuguese countryside in Alentejo. Upon arriving, you enter a complete escape from reality on this ancient farm. Andrea and Andreas have a working olive oil production facility (tour it!), and many of their trees are 1000+ years old. There are also several cork trees. Sheep graze between the trees, moving about the property throughout the day. Chickens lay fresh eggs daily, and you can also pick your own lemons. The pool has several floats as well as a mini bar that Andreas keeps well-stocked. Local restaurants do a great job with take-out.

Wow. This home away from home is the most luxurious Portuguese country escape you could hope for. Andrea and Andreas have literally thought of every detail in creating their beautiful space. Situated in the magical countryside of Alentejo, in the middle of the Olive trees and animal pastures, there is literally something for everyone. The kids had toys, books, bicycles, a pool, ping pong, a beautiful tree fort, a pretend tractor, a trampoline, and even a goat milking farm visit to keep them busy. The adults had a gorgeous kitchen, complete with the veranda of our dreams, a luxury poolside experience with help yourself snacks and drinks, and lots of hikes in the area. We were even treated to a local bottle of wine!! This Herdade is what we all our dreams are made of 🥰. Thank you Andrea and Andreas for having our crazy and wild two families, and for making us feel right at home ❤️😘.

Andrea and Andreas were amazing hosts. The experience of being on the farm was magical and fun. The solar heated salt water pool was was always the perfect temperature and a lovely way to cool off in the heat of the day. If you ever need anything Andrea and Andreas are always ready to help and the barn where we stayed was spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the olive oil that they make and bought some extra to take home with us. There is plenty to do for the family and don't miss the shooting stars at night. Thank you so much, we hope to visit again one day. Obrigada!

A Herdade dos Alfanges é um lugar magnífico, super deliciosos para descansar, renovar as energias e passear pelo Alentejo. Sua energia é renovadora. A casa The Barn é linda e uma delícia. A vista de tirar o fôlego. E A piscina é simplesmente deliciosa e linda. Ficar dias na Herdade apenas passeando pelas terras, nadando na esplendorosa piscina ou ir passear pelo belo Alentejo, foi a melhor parte das férias! Recomendo muito! E os queridos anfitrões Andrea e Andreas, são outra parte q faz este lugar ser tão gostoso e agradável. Eles são muito amáveis, atenciosos, fazem vc se sentir em casa. Se tornaram amigos da família. Com certeza voltaremos e já estou indicando para amigos. Lugar perfeito.
