Une bien jolie maison authentique et typique au bord du Canal du Nivernais et de l’Yonne avec des vues magnifiques. Parfait pour notre notre petit séjour d’un week-end dans cette si belle région. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir chez Sophie, hôte réactive et bienveillante.

Gîte très agréable au bord du canal, très bien placé pour accéder au villageet au domaine de Saint Marc a proximité (pour des mariages notamment !) Sophie a été très arrangeante, flexible et accueillante, merci !

Sophie's apartment is beautifully situated in a village that is quiet but has all the basic amenities - boulangerie, mini supermarket, bar, restaurant, petrol station, weekly market (Thursday morning) etc. The kitchen and lounge windows look out onto the canal (a lock and a bridge) and the village, while the bedroom we used looked out on to a marina; at least one of the other bedrooms at the back looked out towards a field with horses in. The bathroom is modern, other rooms are traditionally furnished. The kitchen is generally well-equipped, but had its peculiarities: e.g. four teapots, but only very small coffee cups or bowls to drink tea from (two mugs were provided on request!). Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Places to visit include Clamecy, Vézelay, the Arcy-sur-Cure caves, Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines and Guédelon castle. Bicycles for riding along the towpath (and for the bold, roads) can be hired in season from the campsite. Highly recommended for a relaxing break.
