This is a perfect artist's retreat. I stayed for a week and found the huge house to be welcoming, sheltering, bright and peaceful. There is wonderful original art everywhere and enough interesting antiques and regionally - themed knick knacks (all dusted!) to keep me making new discoveries right up until my departure. There are many areas outside to sit, sip morning coffee, and just listen. A dear little jewel of a meditation/yoga room is on the second floor. This is a desert home, designed to be a cooling retreat during the many hot months. Make use of the space heaters and fireplace otherwise. There are occupied surrounding properties, close enough to exchange friendly waves while driving by, but distant enough to afford complete privacy. The surrounding countryside is astonishing - an historical, socio-cultural and natural paradise for anyone who does research on the area. (Great library in Arivaca too!) Anne, Deniese and Jesse were a text away, and lovely folks. I hope to return!
Nice clean secluded house. Nicely appointed with all of the amenities you will need.
Pandora Ranch is a quiet, peaceful haven for beautiful views and easy walking paths. A well-equipped kitchen and dining area made home-cooked dinner easy. Our room was cozy and comfortable with its own private bath. Everything we needed was there. A quick drive took us to Main Street, where there was a farmers market, art shops, and lunch at La Gitana bar & grill. We had a great time meeting with old friends and taking a walk to see sunflowers in bloom at the Buenos Aires wildlife refuge.
Pandora Ranch is located in a beautiful, secluded area with deer and other wildlife. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped. The house is beautifully decorated with interesting artwork. The site is located near the charming, historic community of Arivaca. It is also not far from the Buenas Aires wildlife refuge.
Awesome, quiet and secluded, well set up and a great place to spend our anniversary in the beautiful desert.
