Island Echos 4BC This beautiful, fourth-floor Gulf-front vacation rental includes balcony doors in the living room leading to a private balcony that provides a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico. Pickleball courts are also nearby, so grab your paddles and have a friendly game together. The primary bedroom is on the Gulf side with doors leading to the balcony. Other features of this upgraded, beautifully and modernly decorated vacation rental include an upgraded kitchen with granite countertops, new appliances, cabinets and fixtures, a full-size refrigerator, cooktop stove and oven, microwave and dishwasher, along with all the dishes, pots, and utensils needed to prepare and serve meals. The bathrooms are elegant with upgraded fixtures, cabinets, and decor with marble accents. The primary bathroom is upgraded with a lovely white marble jetted tub and a separate, large walk-in shower. The living room has a cozy, large sectional with a TV, DVD player, and a VCR. The primary bedroom has a TV with a large walk-in closet with a dresser for extra storage. The second and third bedrooms have a TV and a VCR. <b>Things to Know</b> Complimentary beach service of one umbrella and two chairs is offered from March 1 through October 31. Paddleboards, kayaks, and bicycles are available for an additional charge. No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval. <br/>This rental is located on floor 4. <br/>Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. 399 days notification is required in order to heat the pool. <br/>Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximun occupancy and quite hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices -not any personal conversation or information. Perfect location!
Disappointed in the cleanliness. First day checking in, wiped up water on the kitchen floor with a paper towel, and it was BLACK. The floor had not been mopped in a while. There was food on the dining room table that had not been wiped up. We had a 10 month old who was crawling and constantly picking up things on the floor the first day. We tried to use the condos vacuum cleaner but it did not work. Our son lives in Mary Esther and brought us his vacuum cleaner and a mop and bucket. We were able to clean the place but not what we expected to do on vacation. The balcony was littered with cigarettes, a lighter and half empty water bottles. The beach is great, but not sure we’d come back to this condo unless we knew the housekeeping improved. Not sure what we paid a cleaning fee for…
The view is even better in person! Absolutely beautiful. I'm a professional artist and designer with two 5 star STR's of my own and I wouldn't change a thing! The furniture and decor was lovely and practical for a beach condo. The balcony is huge and my family of 5 was perfectly comfortable. We loved how close to the beach we were and it was wonderful listening to the waves from the condo. I used to go to Destin with my family for summer vacation as a child and it was so special for me bringing my kids there to enjoy it too. This was my 8 month old's first time seeing the ocean and it could not have been more magical. There were plenty of towels and starter supplies and Vacasa representatives were very responsive and friendly. Thank you for an all-around great trip! We hope to visit again!
We had a wonderful stay with our family. Very spacious condo for 5 of us. Loved the large deck overlooking the ocean. We would come back for sure!
We had a wonderful time for Labor Day Weekend! The location is very good - out of the fray in the main part of town to avoid the traffic and crowds, but close enough to be there for dinner or shopping in 5'. The view was fabulous and we felt we were right on top of the waves - very refreshing and relaxing. The condo is as described and we found it very comfortable. Check-in was easy and quick. The unit was ready for us on arrival. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to cook/prepare meals. We were missing a sponge to wash dishes, but a quick text was all it took to get one. The trash chute is 10' from the door, which was very convenient...but did not cause noise issues. The stairs were also very close and were an easy route to the beach/boardwalk to the sand. The pool was clean and cool. We used the included beach service each day and really enjoyed that benefit - very close to the water and comfortable. There was plenty of space for the family to spread out and have quiet time when needed. We really enjoyed the huge couch in the living area to watch football and movies at night. Elevators were efficient - not too slow. We always took the stairs if we didn't have something to haul. The only negatives were there were a few pieces of furniture that were worn/dirty, but it is a beach condo - its not the Ritz. It didn't bother us...but it was there. The unit was clean for the most part. It could probably use a deep clean to clean fans/lamps/light fixtures/grout - but it's not filthy or a deal breaker in my opinion. Again - its a beach condo and served every need we had. We would definitely stay at this property and in this unit again. It was our first trip to Fort Walton, after frequenting Destin, Orange Beach and Gulf Shores for years and we really enjoyed it. The pier/boardwalk area is very cool and there are lots of places to eat. All in all a great trip and needed relaxing Labor Day get-away! We will be back! 4.5 out of 5 Stars!
