Quirky house full of lots of character and history! Situated right in the heart of Rye meaning everything is in walking distance. Irene and her husband were also very accommodating. All around 10/10 and would recommend to a friend.

My family and I spent Christmas at Flushing House – and we've had the most magical week! Rye is such a beautiful town (and felt so quintessentially Christmas) and Irene's wonderful house just added to this most special stay. As soon as we opened the front door, we felt right at home. Lovely touches – a Christmas Tree and decorations and a bottle of Prosecco. And the property itself is so amazing to think of its age and history. It also couldn't be in a better spot – all the lovely things that Rye has to offer right on your doorstep (especially the amazing Kino – loved watching a film there – and The Union for one of the best meals we've had in a long time). Flushing House is spacious, cosy, the kitchen was so well equipped for cooking some lovely Christmas feasts. The beds were super comfortable and the living room the perfect place to watch some films together after a day's exploring. We can't wait to come back and stay again. Thank you Irene for making our Christmas so special!

Beautiful home in Rye! Very clean and comfy. We struggled to find the place initially as the numbering was quite confusing but we got there in the end! Easy to get inside and a folder of information which was very useful. Irene was super helpful and replied really quickly to and messages. Would definitely recommend this place!

Irene was very quick to reply, offering advice on parking and was kind enough to allow us to check in early, rearranging the cleaners to do so - we very much appreciated it! The location is perfect: right in the heart of Rye. So close to Kikos cat cafe, which we loved. However, the heating was broken and we weren’t told about this until we arrived and saw a note on the table. The heaters provided did the job at warming the house, though. The shower was small (had to crouch to fit in) and the water didn’t stay on for more than 30 seconds at a time. The house was also really dusty - all of us staying ended up with stuffy noses and we could see the layers of dust on the sofas. The house, though, is absolutely beautiful. The fridge shelf was also hanging off the door, so when opened it just completely fell off. No parking so a little hard to get luggage in and out but still a gorgeous, location, gorgeous house and very responsive and helpful host when asked questions.
