We spent a couple of nights at Karol’s place during Spring. It is setup beautifully with art, a huge projector (my son’s favorite amenity) and comfortable rooms for a small family. Karol was clear, responsive and very friendly with all our queries. Would highly recommend the place for anyone looking to stay in Detroit.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at Karol’s place. It’s a great location, very clean & comfy, and just a cool spot. I will definitely stay here next time I’m in Detroit!

What a delightful little house. My friend and I came to Detroit to visit another friend who lives in the area. As it was my first time in Hamtramck, I didn’t know what to expect or where to go. Not only was Karol’s house a perfect, cozy little oasis to retreat to after a busy day sightseeing, the little guidebook provided to explain the art and story of Housy McHouseface (lol) and its owners, was such a nice touch. We did go to Yemen Cafe (came highly recommended) and it was amazing, as expected. We also visited a local cafe and got to chatting with the owner, who shared with us some history of Hamtramck. Entry was simple, parking abundant, and even though the weather was dreadful, my friend and I were endlessly thankful to have such a cozy, private space to relax in. Would recommend Karol’s place to anyone staying in Hamtramck. Also, the decor is certainly quirky but who doesn’t love a little personality?

This home has a high rating with hundreds of reviews for good reason. Beds are super comfortable. Bathroom is amazing. Check in was easy and street parking was close. We love the original charm of the home! Tons of personality both in the home itself and in Karol's artistic expression; the art and decor are unique and vibrant! Quiet neighborhood and cozy; we just heard one car start up in the morning. Only minor issue was the furnace being loud for myself as a light sleeper (we stayed one night during the winter), but can be expected in older homes. I still had a great sleep. Karol is a solid host! They've done a spectacular job remodeling this home and we would stay again!
