Our sailing trip along the Amalfi Coast was hands-down “thee best” vacation we’ve ever taken! After researching several Airbnbs along the Amalfi Coast, we concluded that chartering a sail boat would be the most practical way to explore the coast. It eliminated the hassle of schlepping luggage from place to place and avoiding long waits in lines for boats/ferries and buses to travel to each new location. Joe helped us plan a custom sail itinerary. The plan included day trips and overnight dock stays in: Nareno, Amalfi, Ischia, Capri, and Positano. Part of these stays included restaurant reservations organized by Joe, as some were specifically accessed by boat only. The boat is very clean and meticulously maintained. Our cabin consisted of a queen size bed, private bathroom, plenty of storage, and dedicated air conditioning. Joe is very a conscientious and safety minded captain. We could go on and on about our trip with Joe and can’t recommend it enough.

We couldn’t speak more highly about our time with Joe. At every point, Joe was upfront, communicative and a joy to be around. Joe had tragic family news the day before we were set to sail, even still, he joined us and was the best captain you could ask for. Kind, loving, thoughtful and selfless at all points. We have stayed in amazing places over the years but Joe’s service was exceptional. He took us to the best spots, hooked us up with guides, rides, reservations at amazing restaurants, and was nothing but a gentleman. Do what we did, read the reviews. Every single one is glowing for a reason. It was truly the most amazing week of our lives. If you can stay longer with Joe - you should. 5 days seemed daunting on a sailboat but the variety of our days, the peace, the beauty of the coast and Joe’s company made it feel like a dream. Joe, you are a good man and Tyler and I can’t wait to spend more time with you on your boat. It was like a honeymoon! We adore you.

This is the way to experience the Amalfi coast. Not only is Joe and the boat wonderful. He also know everybody. Your whole experience will gain from it.

We had an amazing 3 nights on LunaMora with Joe Americano and first-mate, Ted. The boat was beautiful, it had AC (which was great given high temp of 40 Celsius), morning coffee was terrific and itinerary was spectacular. Highlights (and there were many) include swimming the caves in Capri, lunch at Conca del Sonya (sitting beside Ed Norton), dinner at Positano Home Cooking school (a 10 out of 10!), hiking the Path to the Gods from Positano (don’t climb down the stairs, they’re steep and very long), and a final night festive dinner in Cetara at Acqua Pazz. We had an amazing time!

Very nice, clean, and well-maintained boat. Excellent size (47 feet / 14 meters) for the price. Describe your Italian nautical dream to Joe and he will expertly and expeditiously accommodate. We set sail with Fabio who provided flawless navigation services and invaluable knowledge of the entire coast. He regularly involved us in destination planning to ensure our best possible experience. Very flexible and perfectly leisurely way to enjoy the Amalfi Coast locale (or elsewhere if you’re extra adventurous). Our visit originated in Salerno with an overnight in Capri. Fabio recommended a visit to Taverna del Capitano in Nerano, a must-visit Michelin star restaurant, for lunch during our return. Absolutely amazing Italian food with several specialty dishes which cannot be duplicated elsewhere. Overall a fantastic vacation!
