Such a peaceful place to stay, with stunning views! Viola is easy to contact and a very responsive host. You do need a car, but plenty of wonderful places to visit on day trips and Certaldo is only 15mins away. Sitting on the deck at sunset with a glass of chianti...this is your ultimate relaxing holiday (just need to remember your mosquito spray). Thank you Viola 😊

Viola et sa sœur nous ont très bien accueillis dans cette maison de charme. Les équipements sont suffisants et la vue de la terrasse est très belle. La piscine est un atout indéniable pour cette demeure de vacances. C'est très bien situé pour visiter la Toscane.

We truly enjoyed our stay and felt very much at home. There are a few neighbouring houses, but our privacy was not invaded in any way. The garden is very nice, and the pool greatly appreciated by all of us. The location is quiet and the views breathtaking. Visited Certaldo old town, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Siena and Volterra. We appreciated Viola's friendliness and pleasant personality, and Viola has responded promptly to our practical questions. The stairs in the house are steep and may be a challenge for some people. The mosquitoes were there in the evenings, but they were not a problem when ordinary repellants were used. All in all a great experience for us..!

Viola was a very friendly and responsive host, which we really appreciated. The house is in a truly beautiful setting with amazing views. The little road to it is not fully metalled and is very bumpy—we were glad to have an SUV. The house is charming with lovely gardens and the pool was excellent—quite deep enough for us but it’s not suitable for diving or doing lengths in. We visited during Italy’s worst ever heatwave, so the house did get extremely hot and we missed air conditioning, but Viola and her family kindly brought us extra fans. One of the bedrooms was too hot to sleep in, so we decamped downstairs to the adequate but not comfy sofa bed. The house is quite well equipped. We would have liked a toaster and a proper oven (there is a little portable oven, but it was quite difficult to cook in it). The patio area is well appointed with stunning views across the valley. The house has lots of ups and downs, incl. narrow spiral stairs so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

The house was super nice. View of the surrounding area was absolutely stunning. There were a lot of places around the garden to sit in the shade or a nice space at the balcony to sit and drink coffee and see the sun come up. Pool is more a plunge than a real pool as it was not very deep, but really great to play tennis in the pool and other games. When it is hot, this was a super plus. Kitchen is nicely equipped so you could cook and prepare any meal. Beds and pillows were good. Only problem we had was that there was no airconditioning (which we knew) but with almost 40 degrees not very nice during the nights. Fortunately we had fans that made up for a lot. We used up liters of anti repellent as there are indeed a lot of mosquito's. But the view of the house makes up for a lot. Viola was very helpful with any questions. From Certaldo (where the center is also very nice) you are quickly in a lot of bigger cities. We visited San Giminiano, Siena, Florence. All close by (40 min). The shed at the pool really needs an upgrade and the stairs are not very "authentic" to the pool, but that is just small things. We really enjoyed our holiday in this house. I am sure you will too.
