What a truly magical cottage to stay in! We spent 10 days in David & Nova’s house, and it definitely was the quintessential British countryside life. The cottage is full of history, quirkiness and immense charm, the garden is big and very lush, with many fruit trees, and the location is stunning. Beautiful walks on the doorstep, a short car ride to lovely British villages, convenient access to London, I cannot praise it highly enough! The cottage is very clean, very well equipped with everything you might need, including books, toys, games, DVDs. The bedding is also very cosy and comfortable. We were very sad to leave what felt like home. Thank you!

What a wonderful stay we had in this beautiful cottage. David was an amazing host, giving us all the info we needed and being really responsive in the days before our stay. The area is amazing for walking, trail running and generally enjoying the countryside. The cottage was great for the kids too: a lovely little room with a bunk and loads of toys. Thank you David! We’ll be back!

A beautiful cottage, in a great location with good pub within walking distance. David was very helpful with providing information, check in was easy and an added bonus of midday checkout which was much needed after a day of walking! A lot of things are provided with a lovely little welcome basket, but guests will need to take their own essentials. Would definitely return.

We loved our stay at Lantern Cottage. Comfortable, cosy and full of character! Just down the road from the Long Man of Wilmington which added a touch of excitement to the location. Some beautiful walks and villages in the surrounding area. The bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch too :-) Thank you for hosting us, David!

We enjoyed our stay very much in this quaint cottage and historical village location. Our young Granddaughters joined us and were delighted with the good selection of toys and books. Kitchen utensils were in good supply. Freezer compartment in fridge a bit on the small side (especially if staying for a week). Beds and pillows very comfortable, a good nights sleep by everyone. Communication was excellent throughout the booking. Thank you David for accommodating us.
