This apartment was perfect for a long term stay, and the value FAR exceeds the price. The apartment is very big. One huge master bedroom with an in-suite bathroom and a second nice sized bedroom with a second shared bathroom. There is also an office which is comfortable with a desk and nice office chair which I used for work, studying and video conferencing … the internet is excellent. In every room. They have a new wireless router inside the apartment which enables fast internet throughout the apartment. John the owner couldn’t be nicer and more helpful. Communication was easy. He always responded quickly to any issues and he and his family, some of whom live in other apartments in the building, were so kind and thoughtful. The kitchen has everything you might need, except for an oven, but we cooked often in the apartment and always managed with what we had. The apartment has good air conditioning in the master bedroom and also a portable unit in the second bedroom. Highly recommend!

What a good place to stay, excellent location and god price

John's a nice guy and the place is clean and spacious. I never met John but his brother-in-law met me at the apartment on time to let me in. Overall the experience was good, however there are some things to be aware of. I like to leave thorough reviews so I'll make note of the positives and negatives about the place below. POSITIVES: 1. The apartment is very spacious, especially the bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms including the nice sized showers. 2. The place was very clean when I arrived. The kitchen, bathrooms, floors, etc were all spotless. 3. It's a very private and quiet apartment on the second floor. The big window in the living room opens up to a rooftop view of Cali and there's no other windows or balconies in front of you. So you can leave the windows open all day and night without concern that a neighbor is peeping on you. I appreciated the privacy. It's also a relatively quiet street with very little car traffic at night, so it was peaceful to leave all the windows open if i wanted to. 4. The beds and pillows are relatively new and comfortable. 5. The kitchen is fully stocked with a microwave, blender, coffee maker, plates, utensils, knives, etc. 6. The apartment is in a nice location in San Antonio. In one direction you have the big park two minutes walk away, and in another direction you have El Penon and Granada. You're an 8-10 minute walk to El Penon and a 30 minutes walk to Juan Valdez in Granada to give you an idea of the location. In the other two directions are just a regular San Antonio neighborhood, and then whatever is north of El Boulevard which gets a little sketchy. Easy to avoid the sketchy areas though. NEGATIVES: 1. The place is a steambath in the daytime and pretty hot at night. One of the reasons I had chose this apartment over others is because the description read, "A/C in the bedrooms"... but the reality was that it should have read, "A/C in the master bedroom only" because the other two bedrooms DID NOT have air conditioning units. There's only one unit in the master bedroom for the entire apartment. My friend never ended up coming, but if she had, we might have had to drag a bed from a different bedroom into the master bedroom and shared that room 'Bert and Ernie style' because the other two rooms were too hot for me to sleep in. 2. The WiFi is shared across multiple apartments and the router is located in the hallway outside of the apartment. Therefore the signal doesn't reach the farther end of the apartment. Unluckily for me, the Wifi signal wasn't strong enough to reach the only bedroom that had A/C and a desk. I'm a digital nomad who works from home and I couldn't work out of the master bedroom because the WiFI signal didn't reach, so I had...

This place couldn't have a more perfect location! Just a block from San Antonio park and walking distance to most everything we wanted to do. John was a very helpful and responsive host. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an affordable place in San Antonio.
