Mawlynong is a great place to spend sone nights at. super peaceful . we got this place last minute. it was overall a good stay. neat and clean. the bathroom fittings could have been taken care of. The flush in the washroom was. bit faulty. water was dripping from the geyser continuously. we were expecting a jetspray or a faucet in the washroom. but it was manageable the owner had provided extra bucket and mug. However you can definitely choose to stay at this place without a doubt.

location is good...rooms were good...toilet clean...only issue was the electricity...there was a power cut whole night because of which we were not able to charge our phones and also we didn't get hot water due to power cut..the host was accomodating and provided her power bank....but I think they should tell in advance to charge our phone because there is no guarantee of electricity...overall stay was good..

I travelled to Mawlynnong on 15th August'22 and stayed with my family for 1 night in Safi Guest house. Pre-stay experience: I found Sachin very responsive. He addressed all my questions and guide me throughout the booking process. In fact, Initially I picked other guest house (run by him) which is small for 5 pax to stay. Sachin didn't accept the reservation and guide me to cancel and suggested for Safi. Thanks Sachin for your integrity. Even just before my stay, he called me and guide with exact location and local contact detail. During Stay: We reached at Mawlynnong around 8PM. Though Google misguided initially but local host was very much reachable over phone and helped me to reach the exact location. My initial impression was bit scary when I saw desolated place and darkling lane of guest house entry. But in next minute, I realize that it's the original flavour of a true village. Rooms are fantastic, supported by attached bath cum toilet with geyser. Room was very clean and tidy. About Local Host: Steve is the local host and a very cool /composed person. He took pain to take us to near by restaurant (2 mins walking from Safi) and calmly waiting outside until we finish our dinner and take us back to guest house. It was an unforgettable gesture with high degree to of humanity. We, so called City-living person can't even imagine in our busy schedule. Best I found: 1. The stay gave me different flavour of staying in village with minimal modern amenities. You will not get television, dazzling lighting or latest toiletries. Even you will get jet speed network and mobile network. You can have a peaceful and precious time with your family and yourself. 2. I (personally) learn humanity which I forgot in my busy schedule. I realized small gesture can create a big impression in ones life, like Steve waited for us for 30 mins with no personal interest. Good to have things: An emergency light - we faced power outage immediately we checked in. Though it was for 5 mins but good to have emergency light to bring bit comfort for guest. Happy to visit again! And wish Sachin and Steve have tons of satisfied customer base in future.
