The heater did not work. so, the second day we were there they had to replace it. The kitchen outlets didn’t work so we had to take the microwave and toaster over to the living room to run. The power cut out a couple times and I had to use the breaker 4 or 5 times. The wifi kept going out on one of the nights and we struggled to get any connection outside of the wifi. The lake is absolutely beautiful and the bonfire area is awesome. There was no lighter fluid left and no lighter. The staff was very kind when we needed help with the heater. Make sure to bring your own blankets because there are no extra blankets in the cabin. Other than a couple issues it was a beautiful spot and definitely enjoyed the area.

2nd year we've been out there. So peaceful and relaxing. We hope to make it out there again next year.

Great place to stay at for a getaway. Isolated and peaceful. Right next to the lake. We had a great time. Pros: Great cabin next to a lake. Firewood is provided with the cabin so that you can use the fire-pit. Charcoal and lighter fluid was also provided if you are planning to bbq. Great host. Willing to bring things at your door if you ask for it. You don't have to take the garbage anywhere. You can pack it up and leave it outside the cabin when you checkout and someone will pick it up for you. 22 minutes away from the St. Ignace ferry location. Cons: Cell phone service is not very good around the area and the internet provided in the cabin is very slow and practically not useful. If you are planning to get back and forth on the Mackinac bridge then please be prepared to pay a toll each way. ($4 per car every time you get across) The bedroom door in the cabin makes a lot of noise and it hard to close properly. The bathroom door does not have a lock.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place! The cabin looked just like the photos- a quiet rustic retreat right by the lake. Access to the water right by the house is very steep, but the short walk down to public beach didn't bother us. The house is a part of the resort, so there are houses close on both sides of house. It still felt private and like our own little space despite that. We also had a moment when we lost power in half of the cabin due to turning the air conditioning on high while other lights were on. They were super quick about getting back to us and were helpful in walking us through finding the breaker box and fixing it. We will definitely be back!
