This cabin is stunning. A little slice of heaven to escape to for couples. The property is charming, private and quiet. We were very pleased with the sparkling clean kitchen and bathroom as well as how cozy and warm it is decorated and furnished. Excellent hospitality was offered, especially when delivering us a bottle of champagne at 8pm! I would recommend this cabin to any couple looking to have a romantic and relaxing time away.

Queens cabin was a great place for a quick get away to Canaan Valley. We will definitely look for one of Daniel’s cabins when we return.

What can we say that other reviews haven’t? It’s such a lovely place with so many special touches to make you feel comfortable- From the minute you walk through the door! I was expecting a lot (due to the great reviews) and we were not disappointed! The views, and the entire area are lovely! We had perfect weather 60-70’s and sunny with all the earth coming to life! Second week of May 😍 plenty of positives then! Very light traffic! Only downfall to this time of year was so many of the restaurants and shops in towns nearby weren’t open during the week. We made do with some picnic supplies we brought along- just in case. And there is a grocery store in Davis so we cooked on the grill one night. Kitchen was fully stocked with all we needed except charcoal. The Black Water State Park is very near and a must see! The concessions were open so we enjoyed a picnic of bacon cheese burgers with all the toppings from there. The restaurant in the lodge was also open. Canaan Valley Resort is nearby and beautiful too. We stayed one night there before we got to the cabin - they have trails , beautiful views, a bar that serves food and a restaurant. Seneca rocks is a short scenic drive, however the visitors center was closed, and so was Senica Caverns. Cass Scenic Railway State Park is fairly close but again we were sad to discover it wasn’t open until after Memorial Day. Their restaurant and gift shop however were open. Dolly Sods Wilderness is near by- however the roads there are treacherous and should be one way only- but they are not! I’m telling you all of this because I always like reviews that inform me not only of the place we are staying in, but also of what’s in the area to do. Davis and Thomas are both very small quaint towns with a couple of restaurants and a few shops within 6-7 miles. During their open season I’m sure they would be fun to checkout. I hope all of this helps you plan your perfect vacation! We would highly recommend this area! And definitely these cabins! Dave & Cheryl /from Illinois
