Small clean econo cabin. Does not fit 8-9, only place to put air mattress is living room, and it leaked to the floor. Kitchen upgrade is nice. After reading reviews, did not light fireplace. Bathroom small, showerhead weirdly low. Queen mattresses comfy. Heat system works great, which is good since you can see daylight through the front door (needs replacing). Location is fantastic and would consider staying for this reason…with only 4 adults and 3 kids.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this cabin. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location is unbeatable –so close to Big Powderhorn you can hear the activity, less than 10 mins from great groceries and restaurants, and less than 20 (scenic) mins from Lake Superior. As far as critiques, first, the fireplace was unusable. I’m familiar with operating fireplaces; however, the entire cabin filled with smoke no matter how much I fidgeted with the damper. Not a huge deal, but it was something we were looking forward to. Then, the main areas of the cabin were clean; however, if you looked closely, the cabin was very dirty. Hundreds of dead bugs built up between the glass and screen of each window, dirty baseboards, and other things that make you question the overall cleaning method. Again, overall, we still enjoyed ourselves; however, I would only recommend this cabin if other choices nearby aren’t available. I’ve stayed in the area before and had better experiences.

Just as described, great spot close to skiing, hiking, hunting, and all that the UP has to offer.
