We had a great stay at this property. House was the perfect size for our family and we enjoyed having the different levels for sleeping space. We had dinner on the deck every evening, as the table on the deck easily sits 6 adults. The beach area was enjoyable, especially by the young children. We brought our kayaks and spent time kayaking on Locke Lake. The lake was very peaceful!

Great location, house felt very private even with neighbors on both sides awesome fire pit. Private lake access was great, the water was a little mucky and rocky so I would recommend water shoes, but we didn't have ours and only one member of our party suffered a minor cut from rocks in the water. Which wasn't bad enough to impede them from enjoying the lake through the rest of the trip. House as described not the cleanest or updated but certainly comfortable to stay in. The dirty isn't gross dirty just a little grim, don't go through with a white glove but we where able to feel comfortable and relaxed.

Atrocious communication (my messages were ignored for multiple days, and I ended up contacting Airbnb to get Evolve to respond). The place is not as listed- there is no king size air mattress (there is a full size mattress on the floor instead); there are not 2 full bathrooms (main floor bathroom has a stall shower only, downstairs bathroom only has a bathtub w/o a shower). The attic bedroom was unusable due to the heat. The ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom was broken and the owner asked me to go out and buy a standing fan myself. The kitchen is not very well-equipped and is missing some essential items (normal size drinking glasses, a full set of dishes). Overall, the house is kind of dingy. Evolve didn't update their reservation bookings and double booked the house for our last night there. They ultimately let us stay the night (as they should), but this caused unnecessary stress for us. The lake is beautiful and it was very nice to sit outside on the deck and in the yard. I would have given 2.5 stars if that were an option.

The place certainly served the purpose and the lodging was adequate. The charcoal bbq grill was too small and was not cleaned. We did not see any info on where the charcoal was. The ceiling fan in the upstairs bedroom is unsafe and very noisy - it should be repaired / replaced. The hot water temperature was scalding and unsafe. There was even a note from a previous renter to this effect, but no action was taken on either. The listing also stated no security cameras, but the first sign you see on the front of the property is “you are under 24 hour surveillance”. The entire deck / back yard had a remote controlled HD security camera that was clearly moved while we were there.
