Patrizia’s home was really lovely! Unusual to find 4 double bedrooms all with en-suites. The garden was enchanting and beautiful! It’s the perfect place for a fair weather stay! Unfortunately it was particularly wet and rainy during our stay and perhaps the communal internal space could have had more by way of furniture etc, but had the weather been better, you could not ask for a more beautiful terrace and outlook. Patrizia was a great host. Extremely responsive and helpful! Could not ask for anything more! Thanks so much and would definitely stay again if we come back to the area!

We'll look back on our stay at Casale del Gelso as the beautiful, peaceful oasis in the middle of our family trip to Italy. We were interested because Rome is doable (Roma Termini is <30 minutes from a train station in the next town) and also because, as a family with kids and grandparents, we also needed a house where we could relax. We arrived (mid-Italy trip) and spent a whole day relaxing at the beautiful property-- our kids loved the break from touring to play in the treehouse, and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The property in early April is absolutely a picture of heaven. I know that a car would make staying here easier, but a rental car to accommodate our family of 8 was very expensive, and Patrizia connected us with a local taxi driver who would pick us up and drop us off at a nearby train station, which worked well. I also accidentally left a small piece of jewelry and Patrizia so kindly sent it to me. Grazie to Patrizia and her family for hosting us at their magical farmhouse.

Our stay at Casale Del Gelso was truly wonderful! The house was perfect for our family of 8, and we absolutely loved the enormeous garden with beautiful trees, sweet Italian fruits and fresh herbs. The jacuzzi was an added bonus, providing pure relaxation and a luxury feel. We were also incredibly grateful for the kindness shown by Patrizia, from the fresh fruits and welcome cake to going the extra mile to create a real football field for our boys. The warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable, and we can't wait to return one day. Thank you, Patrizia & Casale Del Gelso for a fantastic experience.

The Magical Farmhouse was exactly that...magical in every way! This was one of the most special places we have ever stayed. We were welcomed by Patrizia and her husband with them waving and greeting us as we arrived which made us feel at home right away. The special touches were amazing - they had made us a breakfast bread, left us a fruit basket with citrus from their orchard, special lemon jam, and amazing olive oil and wine! We were sad we couldn't take the olive oil and jam with us in our jam packed suitcases. All of the rooms are well appointed with homey touches and en suite bathrooms (we enjoyed the heated towel racks) so it's a very comfortable place to stay. We loved having coffee on the patio in the morning, and wine at night to view the amazing sunsets over the vineyard and gardens. Patrizia and Luciano were incredibly responsive and catered to any need we had. And the hot tub is a must! Very special place with very special hosts:)

Mi sono innamorata di Casa Gelso a prima vista. Abbiamo alloggiato qui con la mia famiglia e i nonni per festeggiare tutti insieme il Natale . La casa deliziosa, camere accoglienti e spaziose. Il soggiorno è un amore, con una bella vetrata che dà su un parco grande e curatissimo. La cucina spaziosa e ben attrezzata. Decorazioni natalizie, una piccola cappella e un presepe ci hanno fatto respirare ancora di più aria di feste e di gioia. Tutto è stato curato nei dettagli. Un posto incantevole, reso ancora più magico dalla calorosa accoglienza di Patrizia e suo marito. Una splendida coppia, gentilissimi e veramente tanto simpatici, sempre pronti a dare suggerimenti e attenti a che tutto andasse bene. Un ciambellone gigante buonissimo, fatto dalla mamma del proprietario, ha deliziato le nostre colazioni. Non vediamo l’ora di tornare!! Grazie di cuore 💓
