Delightful 18th century house with period features. The house is at the centre of the village. Regular train service from nearby Meldreth (10 minutes walk) and Royston (10 minutes by car) to both London (Kings Cross) and Cambridge and bus service outside the house to Cambridge and Royston. Shops (Co-op Premier village shop) close by and two traditional pubs and one upmarket restaurant in village. Internationally oriented couple welcoming visitors from all over the world.

Michael and Richenda are wonderful hosts, super friendly, providing local recommendations and directions to nearby points of interest. very comfortable bed, primary use of a bathroom downstairs. a very comfortable stay. thanks
I had a lovely few days staying in the house. Michael and his wife are very friendly and helpful. I had a spacious bedroom with tea-making facilities and a very comfy bed. The bathroom is downstairs but that did not bother me. I would definitely stay here again.
A really enjoyable stay with Michael and Richanda. Lovely quirky everything-slopes old house with supremely comfortable bed. Very usefully for myself there is also a desk in the room to work at, and has super-fast Virgin broadband that Melbourn enjoys. Will be back!

Melbourn is a medium sized village with about 5000 inhabitants and many beautiful old houses and other buildings especially the church. It has 2 pubs and a CoOp,post office and community centre and a cafe serving food coffee and tea and light meals. Our house is directly opposite the community centre entitled the Melbourn Hub.
Bus to Cambridge stops outside house and railway station (Meldreth) to Cambridge and London 12 minutes' walk. Parking for one vehicle right by the house.
