Beautiful place to stay if you come to hikkaduwa, very close to the beach, you can enjoy the place and the spot place’s nearby!

To be honest, this really wasn’t a great experience. The property doesn’t match the photos and we wanted to use the washing machine. In the photos it looks modern and western and we told the host that we wanted to do a big wash. Instead we got a machine that was old, dated and broken…

We had a very enjoyable stay with Manoj. The villa matched the pictures and the bed was comfy. However we did find 2 large cockroaches in the bathroom press, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned out properly but cockroach spray was provided. The location is around a 30 minute walk to most of the restaurants and cafes in Hikkaduwa but a short tuk tuk away. The airbnb is very close to the road so you can hear the buses beeping and also close to the train line (when a train passed it feels like the house is shaking slightly). The bedroom has an A/C unit and fully enclosed so it’s kept nice and cool. On the other the downstairs only has a portable fan so it can very hot. The host was very accommodating and allowed us to use the villa on our day of checkout until 3pm as we had a late flight. Overall we had a lovely stay at this home.

The sweet two floored villa was as described, conveniently located by a small grocer which made getting groceries for morning tea easy. Over all a convenient stay if you are looking to basically bunk for the night and spend the day exploring hikkaduwa and surrounds like we did. The villa comes with a AC only on the bedroom floor which amkes the downstairs a tad hot to be in. Great for a quick stay and would recommend to travellers looking for the same. The duvet on our bed was missing, we had a thin sheet for the night...but no complaints as it was a warm evening in Sri Lanka:)

Toll! Die Villa war direkt wie ein Zuhause, man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Schlafzimmer ist angenehm zu klimatisieren, auf den 3 Balkonen kann man prima entspannen. Auch dass die Unterkunft nicht direkt im Zentrum liegt haben wir sehr genossen, man erreicht trotzdem schnell alles, hat aber seine Ruhe und einen schöneren und nicht überlaufenen Strandabschnitt in der Nähe.
