本来是因为湖区在复活节的住宿太紧张，才不得不订到了20分钟车程之外的这家airbnb，没有想到是意外的惊喜。 房子在Milnthrope小镇上，距离lakeside码头大概20分钟车程(lakeside码头停车费4镑10小时，所以房费+停车费可以说远低于那些距离码头步行距离但是又看不到湖景的昂贵酒店），房子非常干净，超大的客厅以及3个卧室，楼上楼下均有厕所，值得一提是这个小镇非常美丽，步行10分钟就有一个大超市，所以我们在湖区游览的两天，晚饭都是自己烧的，省钱又满足了中国胃。 另外一个意外的惊喜，是这个小镇附近的美景，步行15分钟就有一个超大的公园，有小羊小鹿，开车大概10分钟，可以到一个AONB区域，有好几条热门的徒步路线。个人认为这些地方的美景甚至超过了游客众多的湖区。 总之，这是一次性价比非常高的体验，强烈推荐给自驾去湖区的朋友。 I have a great time staying at Helen's place during Easter. Helen is a great host, the house is super clean and decorated with taste, we loved the kitchen and cooked ourselves dinner every night we stayed (and we shopped excellent foods from booth supermarket -- 10 mins walk from the place). Helen gave very good advice of shops in town and places to go to, we went to the deer park and the Arnside coast as she suggest, the view there was fantastic, it was a pity that we couldn't do a lot of hiking with the little kid, but I think the area nearby is definitely under-estimated by most tourists. the place is easy to go to the lakes as well, max 20 mins drive to lakeside car park, which costs only 4 pounds per 10 hour. I would definitely recommend Helen's place to anyone who likes to know more about the lakes and who would like to spend a lovely time in a small English town.

This was our 2nd stay at Helen’s place and again it did not disappoint. Very comfortable, great location, lots of room. Helen is very responsive and great to work with. We will definitely be back.

Great place to stay! Ideal staging point for exploring the Lake District, North Pennines or Arnside and Silverdale (right on the edge of this one). Ample room for 4 and a dog. Felt right at home here and everyone was comfortable - especially two of our group who rarely travel. Would happily visit again.
