Carlos’s place is a hidden gem. Such a wonderful place full of beautiful flowers, plants, trees and pineapple plants. I love his terrace, where I spend my time reading, listening to the radio and drinking coffee. At night time with shut everything down to listen to nature. Carlos’ description of his place it was to the point. Thank you, Carlos.

This property is beautiful, the pictures do not do this place justice at all, it's so pretty in person. The house is not a luxury hotel, but at the same time was very accommodating to our needs. If you are looking to be close to everything this is not for you ! If your kids are scared of the coqui this is probably not for you! If you have a rental Jeep and don't mind the extra drive it is so worth it to not be by ANYONE, it SO peaceful at night and the breathtaking views in the morning is unforgettable. Definitely would recommend this place to a couple wanting a private get away or a family who is adventurous.

If you don’t like driving a lot or wildlife in your space, this is not the place for you. To start off, the drive was quite insane. It is high, on top of a mountain, everything is far and isolated. It’s quite scary at night and we did not feel safe the entire week during our stay. Yes, the views are amazing and the rooftop access is pretty cool, but that drive up is too much in my opinion which is not what I expected. Cleanliness was an issue since the second we walked in, there were used/dirty dishes, one of the rooms was not clean and it was messy. Linen was dirty, shower was dirty (which we cleaned ourselves). Signal was horrible, wifi was slow. It was overall not the best experience. We spent most of the day out, doing stuff and just came back to sleep. We even got a hotel else where for a night due to the hectic drive up and to catch a bit of a break from everything.

This place was magical! It is remote and you feel as if you are on top of the world! We came during the earthquakes and the house is very structurally sound! We left because of a large quake 6.0 and headed to the north side of the island. Carlos and Elisio were always communicative and understanding. The photos do not do it justice at all! You fall asleep with the sounds of the wind and frogs. The forest comes alive at night and the views are amazing. The full moon met with a sea of stars hung just out of arms reach. You are atop the world in a enchanting forest lodging in the sweetest colonial hacienda with a garden out of Eden. For the price and the adventure you’d be crazy to miss out on this place!

My friends and I wanted to bless a veteran and his wife with a short getaway for Christmas. Carlos place was a great location and he was very helpful in helping us work out time frame for them to enjoy the place!
