My departed husband Syd and I came to Chilliwack in 1992 and have loved it here with a smaller town feel, some great private schools, a branch of the University of the Fraser Valley , recreation centers and lakes and hiking nearby for fun and exercise. Cultus Lake, Harrison Hot Springs , Hicks and Chilliwack Lakes are 20 plus minutes away and are wonderful places to go for swimming, hiking boating etc. We ourselves enjoyed many summers taking our three children swimming, hiking and camping . And in the winter time the ski hills were not too far away so our kids did some winter sports with High Road Academy school trips up to Manning Park and Hemlock Valley. I am really enjoying this AirBandB venture that my husband set up with his renovations . I have immensely enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and as well, trying my best to give my guests a safe and affordable place to stay for their time in Chilliwack. We have one cool cat Zorro who loves to greet the guests outside . Some like him and some not but he is not allowed in the suites so no worries there. We are not well traveled but we were fortunate enough to be able to go to Belfast, Northern Ireland four summers ago where my husband grew up and had not been back in 54 years. All his family live there so we had an amazing time visiting all of his many family members. I actually loved saying the word "wee" and it almost came naturally at the end of the holiday. It was a "once in a life time" trip. I also went to Israel the same year and hope to return sometime . And in your own travels, perhaps we will have the pleasure of meeting you, should you choose Far n' Away BnB1 or 2 or 3 all listed separately on the site.
