This was our second time staying at John and Catherine's rental, and it was just as enjoyable this time around. The hosts are friendly, the space is clean and relaxing, and the location is close enough to town while still feeling remote. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to the area.

From the start we were made to feel welcome because we were running late for arrival and they switched on the heating for us and the outside light. It felt comfortable as soon as we walked in which made it so easy to just sit down and relax. The couches and armchair combined with the wonderful wide range of interesting books created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing vacation in a peaceful and beautiful house and location: great old fashioned bath to relax in with a book; high quality and cared for wooden furniture; rugs create additional comfort underfoot; very convenient kitchen with everything that you might need to hand including even beautiful little egg cups! Thanks Catherine and John for a great stay! Great place! Strongly recommended!

Catherine and John’s cottage was a blissful retreat, even more beautiful than the pictures. We loved the design of the space, the full kitchen, the antiques (especially the lamps!) and the quiet, beautiful surroundings. There was a bowl of the most delicious pears and local cheese waiting for us when we arrived. All of this, plus a private hot tub just steps away, with thick terrycloth robes provided. We were especially grateful to Catherine for allowing us to stay an additional hour to make up for the one we lost to daylight savings. We will definitely return!
