From the other reviews, it seems like everyone gets a different unit based on how the resort fulfills the reservation. That being said, our family of four (two little kids 5&7) LOVED staying at the Westgate resort. We used the waterpark each day, and that helped make this AirBNB totally worth it. We also stayed on top of the mountain...which was amazing. Played mini-golf for free. Quick access to Gatlinburg for dinner and to the mountains for the hikes. Clean units, kids slept on sofa couch, we had private bedroom. Kitchen to make pack lunches for hikes. Large bathroom. Just be sure to say 'no' to the 'free lunch and tour' so you aren't stuck on a long sales pitch. Units do connect to each other via connecting door, but thankfully we had quiet neighbors and didn't hear them.

This is definitely a buyer beware review. The photos included in the description are from much larger apartments that are not owned by Karen. We were super excited to spend an evening on the balcony overlooking the wonderful Smokey mountains. Unfortunately on arrival we were allocated a tiny almost motel like room (cabin it is not!) with tiny table for two, no balcony and no natural light as the windows looked on to a corridor. When I asked for a room as advertised the hotel stated that this size of unit is the one the owners actually own. I think other reviewers were upgraded. The unit itself was very clean however definitely not worth the money and our family was disappointed with how dark and small this unit was. Karen needs to show photos of the unit she actually owns and not what you could get. Definitely not worth the gamble.

Karen’s was beyond responsive on our trip to the Smokey’s. The location of her apt. is perfect. The only issue we had was the fact that there was a misunderstanding about the wording of “poss balcony” meaning possible not possess. We checked in and were shocked that we didn’t have a balcony but Karen tried to reach out to the concierge of the resort to help move us to another room but he was absolutely no help and honestly we felt like he was rushed talking to us and said he would come up to our place to talk and we never heard from him. Nevertheless Karen did what she needed to to help figure it out!
