The place is beautiful from the outside. Nice and private and secluded as it’s tucked in the jungle by the ruins. Not too far from Centro and the major grocery stores. The inside has a bit of a mildew smell, which I get since it’s so humid. However, when I washed my clothes, they smelled worse afterwards. Had to rewash once I got home. No hand soap in the bathroom rusted shower curtain rod. Patio furniture was not usable. The place could be really really nice if maintained. It was not dirty but never felt particularly clean, if that makes sense. It had the bare necessities but doesn’t go above and beyond. Alex was very attentive and reached out frequently to see how my stay was going, which I appreciate. I give this feedback as constructive criticism so some of the items can be improved upon.

Alex has been super helpful and responsive which I really appreciate. We’ve enjoyed the stay apart from the noisy neighbours every other night which isn’t Alex’s fault and was eager to resolve :) thank you

I highly recommend Alex’s Airbnb. It’s was centrally located to supermarkets, bank, Covid testing, the ruins and a quick drive to the beach (or 25 minute bike ride, bicycles can be rented at Mon Tulum). The decor was nice and modern, the appliances worked, the air conditioner was cool, the shower hot and the property was quite. Although not far from the main road we are in the jungle so at night we just heard the insects and the birds. There is a nice clean rectangular pool in the back. The unit was safe, clean and any issue we had Alex and Roberto were quick to respond and handle. The app for the lock was easy to use and much better than having a key. Our beds were comfortable and we would definitely return and recommend to our friends.
