Travelling solo can be so much fun if you find the right people and place and same happened when I decided to visit the Sikkim Lake House, Khechuperi Lake, Pelling, Sikkim!! Hosted by Sonam and Haruko and their 2 kids the place has warmth and peace radiating from food to stay! Do visit the place for beautiful, serene and quiet time to meet yourself only to realise that you would always come back to this place.

Well, I don’t know where to start. The days I spent at Haruko’s place was some of the best days I ever encountered. Sonam and Haruko are the best host one can ever have. Lian (their kid) was playful and excited too. They looked into ever tiny details and made the stay comfortable and homely. They had all the amenities one needs and that too in a place like Khecheopalri. The food they cooked was delicious and organic. They took all the effort one can take to make your stay memorable. They arranged for a guide for sightseeing and provided all the assistance. They even packed lunch for me for a day trek. I stayed for 4 days and it was amazing. The Khecheopalri lake is mystic and quite. They also took me to a local function nearby, and I made good friends out there. I never felt avoided or different from them. I was like a family member. They cooked farewell dinner also, and I can just go on and on with all the good experiences I had staying with them. I recommend them to everyone. They will make sure you enjoy your stay and relax. I am going again to their place sometime soon.
