The “Meadow Cabin” is a tiny cabin located in the middle of a meadow and surrounded by the old growth trees of Kinghurst Forest. The 100-square-foot cabin sleeps up to two and features a loft with a Queen-size bed and linens, indoor kitchenette set up for two, outdoor kitchen, solar light, potable water, picnic table, a portable propane BBQ, fire ring and an outdoor composting toilet. Two clear ponds are a 10-minute walk away from the cabin and are great for swimming during the summer months. Access to the ponds is shared with our other guests staying at our "Cedar Campsite" and "Forest Loft". Secluded and deep in preserved old-growth forest, come prepared to track your gear on a ten-minute hike from the parking lot to the cabin - we will provide a wagon to help. Freija is a private 100-acre bird, wildlife, and stargazing sanctuary bordering a 350-acre conservation area. Endless maintained trails on varying terrain both on property and adjacent forest. Enjoy Canadian and Ontario nature in its purest, most magical form. Explore some of the most breathtaking old-growth hardwood and cedar forest in Ontario.
