This spot is wonderful. The house has everything you could need. Close to the lake for fishing, wonderful views, and distraction free.

Stayed here for a fishing trip. Everything was great. Couldn’t be closer to the lake. Everything at the house worked, kitchen is great. View is fantastic. Would stay here again.

The views were stunning, but beyond that, there weren’t many positives. When we arrived, we were hit with a terrible smell from the downstairs area. We immediately messaged the manager of the property. We were informed she had been there the day before and hadn’t noticed anything. She thought maybe dead mice and said to check all the traps. Traps were EVERYWHERE, but clearly weren’t working. Mice droppings covered most things. No dead mice were found, but the smell was horrific. We realized the power had went out sometime in the past 24 hours and the smell was coming from the locked freezer. That smell did get slightly better over the next few days. However, the mice droppings and uncleanliness of the downstairs was ridiculous. The bedding hadn’t been cleaned in some time and smelled awful. We had to wash all of it before we could sleep down stairs. When we went to get clean bedding from the drawer, it was also full of mice droppings. There was food left from past guest which was visible under the bed and in the media cabinet. The floors hadn’t been vacuumed, as chips were crushed into the carpet and playing cards were on the ground. The pool table was sticky and covered in pet hair. The cover to pool table had mice droppings on it. Upstairs the bedding was clean, but the sofa’s were torn and in bad shape. Pet hair and dust covered the entertainment center and other surfaces. The blinds were also missing several slates. I would not be listing any of this if anyone would have responded to our concerns. Other than the response from the manager the first evening telling us to let her know if we found the cause of the smell, none of my other messages were responded to. We understand that this is a country home, but for over $3,000 for 4 nights, we feel we deserved a clean home and at the very least a response to our concerns. Again, the views were stunning and the house would have been lovely had it been cleaned and kept up.

Location, location, location! This property has the most amazing views of the reservoir and the mountains. Love how secluded it felt, yet was close to everything we needed. We spent some time fishing at 11 Mile Reservoir (both from walking down to the reservoir and from driving to some fishing spots). We also took a quick drive to see the Florissant Fossil Beds (worth the trip!!) and to Cripple Creek. We enjoyed our hikes around the property each morning. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. We played pool downstairs and cards at the card table. We watched some of the DVDs for relaxing nights. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone. Check in and check out was easy and accurate. I can’t wait to go back!
