We really enjoyed staying at Richards place, a small paradise in the quiet part of the valley. The surroundings and pool where amazing. The house was bigger than I thought and had all you can request. Would love to come back

Richard was a great host, very good communication from start to finish. The location is amazing, the scenery and surrounding garden is beautiful. A very relaxing, quiet and safe environment. The apartment itself was very clean and offered what we needed however maybe a little more tired than I was expecting. However all in all a great stay!

The pros: spectacular views, walking distance into town, spacious property with all required amenities, clothes washing done for you, attentive host The cons: the property felt a bit dark due to overhanging trees; load shedding meant that the electricity was not on all the time so it got quite hot at night without any fans; internet was fine for light use/ streaming tv but too patchy for remote working.

TLDR: amazing place, Richard was accommodating but a bit much sometimes, but I would absolutely stay again. The property is amazing: safe, absolutely stunning views, peaceful, clean, well maintained. As for Richard, he is a great host with good intentions but can be a bit much at times. He let me check in early, which was a serious feat bc this place is so constantly booked. I know the early check in took a lot of effort, and I appreciate him for that. A couple of things happened that weren’t as great. For one, he insisted on charging me extra for a friend who spontaneously decided to stay over for 1 night; worse, he insisted on charging me for 2 nights despite said friend only being there for 1. Sure, there’s a min 2 night stay, but I already had the cottage booked for myself for the min 2 nights. Whatever. Nbd. Also, at one point during my stay he tried to come into the cottage to chat. I made eye contact with him, waved him away, and we communicated cordially via text afterward.
