I really hate writing reviews which are mainly negative, but feel I need to in this case. The property is well located in a quiet street central to Scarborough, with good parking on the drive for 3 cars, but: the whole interior is shabby, with dirty walls, a broken mirror and wall light, 2 ancient and very uncomfortable sofas, rock hard chairs at the dining table, and no instructions (that we found) for any of the appliances, so for example we couldn't work the fire on a cool night. The layout is very strange: the main bathroom has a rickety toilet, and bath with shower, but no sink; so you need to wash hands in the bath after using the toilet. The toilet and sink in the attic room are only useable for people who are 3 feet tall. For a house advertising to sleep up to 10 people, the tiny frying pan is wholly inadequate. The duvets would have been too warm in a tent in the arctic circle in the middle of winter (although I appreciate this is a matter of personal taste). We stayed for 2 nights, and I 'm pleased it was not longer. This is the first poor experience I've had from numerous AirBnb bookings, and I certainly don't believe it was good value for money.
If you want a house that can sleep 10 has everything you need and some more with a great location then book this house 🏠. Great place and we'll definitely be going back in the future 👍🏻
Excellent location with view on Peasholm park and easy walking distance from the beach and town. Parking for 2-3 cars in the back drive which is a huge advantage in Scarborough! Comfy beds, plenty of room of a large family/group of people. A few bits around the house which are in need of repair but nothing that would impact the stay in any meaningful way.
