Welcome to the heart of Diamond Harbour, a village 45min from Christchurch situated in Lyttelton Harbour. Our home is the Old Exchange of the village and lovingly renovated to a family home and B&B. Ferry, beaches, Cafe's, tracks and more are in walking distance. Easy access with a car to more beaches and the rest of the Banks Peninsula our favourite place. Included is a home-made breakfast from our Breakfast Menu and Barista Coffee . Your Hosts: Antje & Andreas Your sunny guest room has a Queen sized bed, private ensuite bathroom/shower/toilet (not shared as in listing), French doors to the private patio and a view to Lyttelton. You can enjoy the quiet village life from there or go exploring the area. The guest room has a separate entrance.

The breakfast experience was truly exceptional. Not only was the best we had in New Zealand, but it was also among the top brekkies we've ever had globally. Plus, it arrived punctually at our preferred hour, making for an unforgettable start to each day. Choose your breakfast from a selection of German, French, and other options. Enjoy freshly baked bread made with love, delicious homemade marmalade, eggs, etc, and the warm smiles of Antje and Andreas.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their roomy guest suite, with access to an enjoyable small garden and the view of Diamond Harbour Bay just a few steps away.We highly recommend booking their accommodation

Lovely room in the Old Exchange cottage. We had a very peaceful stay and really enjoyed the Diamond Harbour area. The large and delicious breakfast with all sorts of homemade goodies was amazing. Antje & Andreas were very welcoming and helpful. Easy access to walking tracks, and also a short walk to get on the 10 minute ferry ride across to explore or dine in Lyttelton.

Diamond Harbour is a relaxed and friendly rural community with lot of little things happening, like summer concerts, Historic Cottage and Gallery, Orton Bradley Park, Mt Herbert Track and much more. We are happy to point out what is on at the moment.
Come by car or ferry (happy to pick you up). You do not need a car to get around Diamond Harbour. A lot of things are in walking and cycling distance. If you do come with a car, yo have even more options. We are happy to help you in any way.

Antje and Andreas... German immigrants to Aotearoa New Zealand. We came here with our big family of 7 (5 boys... growing too quickly into young men) just a week before the February Earthquake. We enjoy very much living in this beautiful part of the country. We love having guests and sharing our home with people from all walks of life.
