Very pleasant home-stay experience. Far-away enough from the town centre to offer peace & quiet, close enough to ferry terminal to jump on a boat to Banda islands. A short stroll takes you to the family-run restaurant for authentic meals. Pick your own fruit from the mini-orchard within the grounds of the guest house. Talk to the host family as much as you like, or retreat to your room ... anything goes. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness.

This was one of the warmest experiences we've ever encountered and the best start of our trip in Maluku. The family goes above and beyond, serves the best breakfast (everyday something different from their restaurant that is close by, nasi goreng, bakso, sate etc). They help you with any question you have and are just incredibly sweet. The house has basic equipment, with much needed air co in the bedroom, it is clean and located in a quiet area (and close to the beach). The house is also surrounded by a beautiful garden. We gained a new 'oma' (grandma) and if we come back to Ambon we will definitely stay here again! So if you'd like to have a more local experience, but still have your privacy, we recommend this place 100%.

Our stay here was really amazing. We stayed here for three months because of our internship. During these months the family was so nice, we even celebrated 'Sinterklaas' with them and had multiple nice dinners and activities with the family. The breakfast in the morning is also really great! Contact with the hosts was also good, quick responses and very helpful information.
