Overall it was a nice experience and place to stay. Beautiful and quiet setting. There were issues with the cleanliness, perhaps from the previous guest. There were clumps of kinetic sand outside and some inside on the carpet/recliner. Stains on the couch and comforters, also some dirt on the sheets on the bunk bed. The shower door was barely attached, I was able to get it back on the track. The shower was small and didn’t seem completely clean. My husband used it and like other guests reported the pressure wasn’t great (I’d expect that though from a cabin in the woods). The road also was quite tough. It was a rainy couple days and we couldn’t negotiate the terrain without bottoming out our car. I would not recommend anything other than SUV or a truck.

My husband and I were looking to get away to quiet place before our busy seasons at work and this cabin was PERFECT! It was quiet, secluded, and had STUNNING views! We were able to spend a day in Brunswick, a day in Freeport and a day just staying at the cabin! It was the perfect retreat! The kitchen was great and had everything we need to cook 95% of our meals at the cabin! The beds were comfortable and the outdoor patio with picnic tables made a perfect midday hang out spot! Thankfully we have a four wheel drive truck because the muddy dirt driveway may have been impossible without it! We had the most amazing trip and can’t wait to return one day and tell all of our family and friends to check out the spot for themselves!

This was great location! Beautiful spot on the water, over looking Merrymeeting Bay, we would wake up each morning and listen to and watch the Bald Eagles nesting only a few hundred yards from the place. Was very cozy, and only a short drive to numerous conservation lands with excellent hiking, and not far from Bath Brunswick, and Freeport for restaurants and attractions. An awesome spot to use a quiet retreat or a base camp for midcoast adventures.

Beware of muddy roads on the way into the property, you might have to be towed out like I did. Otherwise, a very nice and simple little house to enjoy a vacation at.
