Lovely place! Very quiet and cosy. A few things to be aware of: - dogs can only do business in certain areas, so staying at the folly you have to leave the building and cross the lawn to take the dog out - the eclectic country vibe is amazing, but it does mean that there are cobwebs, spiders, snails, etc. it’s not unclean, but you’re definitely not insulated from nature. - the doorways are VERY narrow, and there are a LOT of low doorways and beams. But it’s a lovely retreat, and if those things don’t put you off, it’s well worth your time!! A great location and very tranquil environment.
What an idyllic place! The river next to the bedroom door was a great highlight. Also the balconies.
We had a beautiful stay celebrating our engagement. Fingals is fabulous for a weekend away. Make sure you walk to Dittisham and get the ferry across for a beautiful walk to Dartmouth, and then get the ferry back for well deserved pint in the Ferry Boat Inn.

An eclectic, beautiful and restful space on the waters edge. Lots of creative touches. Welcoming and considerate hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our break 😊

I was born in Sri Lanka and developed a love of all animals - we had a mini zoo with mongooses, monkeys, deer and an eagle owl - now I have pygmy goats, chickens and two Lurchers. I also adore the countryside and our beautiful River Dart - we spend much of our time outdoors, in or on the water! I love sharing this glorious part of the world with our guests and helping them get the most out of their hard earned holidays.
