We (2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 6) booked 3 nights in this house, but after spending 1 night there we left early in the morning for another location, which we booked urgently. The house and its furnishings look nice on the photos. In reality, it is an old house, full of pungent musty smell, heavily outdated shower room (in the advertisement photos they don't show everything - only the corner with a sink in white colours, which suggests a standard bathroom). By the way, the shower drain and the sink were clogged, so after a few seconds of showering you were standing in dirty water. Authentic rooms do not take away the expectation of freshness and cleanliness. Well, these were hard to find. It is an old house, which was permanently inhabited by the owners until the 1950s and then occasionally served as a temporary residence until the 1960s. This can be read in a clapperboard found in the house. Hardly anything has been invested in the house (the windows may have been replaced). The house, as well as a number of other houses in Rökulla, are empty and are also rented out. The guests take care of the cleaning at the end of their stay. This with varying results, so that it is also not clean. The owner makes high demands on the final cleaning (besides the standard cleaning, also vacuum all furniture, clean all (many in the house) carpets, etc.). Otherwise the cleaning costs € 150.00(!). If you do not have your own bed linen and want to use those of the owner - then €20.00 per person is asked. We had our own bedding and had trouble putting our clean sheets on the filthy mattresses (also authentic 1950s?). Rökulla itself is a deserted village, with quite some noise from the nearby road. The only thing that is beautiful is the garden with apple trees. The advertisement of the house does not correspond at all to the actual situation. Everything is of course subjective. In any case, it was not our expected experience of a holiday home. We would definitely not recommend this accommodation. We did not receive a refund for the other 2 nights booked. The landlord (Novasol - called in by the owners) said that according to our pictures there was nothing to mark on the house. I think Novasol has never done a quality control in this house. We could not capture the musty smell on the photos, crazy enough. For a full picture, we visited a total of 5 different locations in Sweden this summer. We were very satisfied with 3 and 1 was just fine. However, this house was really unacceptable.

Trevlig och mysig stuga utanför Vimmerby med allt som behövs för en barnfamilj. Nära till Ica och bilväg. Rekommenderas!
