Ruth was a wonderful hostess, very clear simple checkin. Delicious box of local doughnuts on the counter upon arrival. We will definitely use Ruth again when visiting Blacksburg!!

Ruth’s place was perfect for our family. We loved the personal touches of bottles water, fresh doughnuts, and even letting us know where the children’s toys were. Ruth was very kind and easy to communicate with!

Ruth was very friendly and responsive to our messages. Her place had all we needed for our visit to Blacksburg. She provided some extras that made our stay comfy. We would definitely stay again. It was very convenient to The Virginia Tech campus as that was the reason for our visit.

The Mountains are Calling is perfect. Ruth , the host, is lovely and helpful. The apt is clean and comfortable. It is in the lower level of Ruth’s house. She and her very sweet pup live above. While you might hear the occasional footsteps or paw steps, they really are not bothersome. Ruth was very respectful of our space and I often forgot we were below her. The apt has great windows and filled with lots of light. Comfortable beds and furniture. And very pet friendly which is a plus for us. Convenient to Virginia Tech. We will be back! I highly recommend it

We stayed at Ruth’s place the last two weekends. Her home is lovely and quiet. The location is excellent, in close proximity to Virginia Tech. We would highly recommend Mountains Calling!
