EXCELLENT location! If you want to experience old-world Morelia in a historic (400 years old) home that is being restored then you have found the right place. Max is an excellent host and will help make your stay in Morelia pleasant.

Our stay at Casa Dragones was fantastic! We really liked the 1600s Spanish style of the house and it took us back to that time for sure. The decor throughout and courtyard are very beautiful. The place was kept spotless every day and Max was a great and super friendly host. Not to mention, the location of the house is right in the middle of Morelia’s historic center—close to all kinds of restaurants, museums, cafes, cathedrals, and shops. I highly recommend it!

During New Year 2018, I booked this spacious and beautiful 'Palacio' in the middle of Morelia for 4 nights. I was there together with my wife and our daughter. Although the property is located in the middle of Morelia, it is an island of rest , also during daytime, in the vibrant city of Morelia. And also within the building, there is enough privacy. We felt at home right away. The host Max lives in this historical building, together with his father and their maid Denise; Max, as well as the other two are very friendly people and helpful . Max offered us even to bring us by car to our next destination, los Azufres in the mountains, which was very much appreciated . As the 3 of us, liked the city of Morelia , as well as the Casa Dragones , we stayed there an extra day. We would certainly recommend Casa Dragones to everybody, who appreciates to share a beautiful palacio with nice people from Morelia.

Ubicación perfecta, en el Centro Histórico, a dos cuadras de la Catedral y de los principales atractivos turísticos de la ciudad. El anfitrión súper amable, nos dio direcciones y muy buenas recomendaciones. El vive con su padre y una chica que les ayuda dentro la propiedad. La casa es un destino en si misma, un edificio de 1600 que siempre fue habitado por la familia. Las recamaras aún son las que utilizaban y Max, realizará aún algunos cambios para mejorar la experiencia. A nosotros nos encantó vivir una experiencia tan auténtica.

We arrived to Morelia for the week to attend the International film festival. The first three nights we stayed at another Airbnb which was about 5 blocks farther away. When we moved to this new house (Monday to Sunday) we were thrilled at the historic colonial features and openness of the property AND that it is a very short walk from the cathedral (one block). We were the very FIRST people to stay at the house as it had recently entered the airbnb network. The experience was excellent in terms of friendliness, openness of the family, live in help, the location to down town and the liveability of the property. It is a really a beautiful historical home as close as you can get to the cathedral. The rooms are interconnected in a way that at times do not allow for privacy (one room in particular requires you to pass through another bedroom to enter and to leave)--this was not at all a problem for us as we were three close friends traveling together. The bathrooms are shared as was the common living room area with couches and TV etc. Again, not a problem at all and the week stay for us was exactly what we needed in regards to the film festival. (we arrived late at night and at times left early in the mornings to wondering the city) Each morning we had the option to eat in with fresh fruit, coffee, and local fresh sweet breads. We all wish we could have stay a few more days. If you are used to coming into shared homes and getting to know the family, and want a great beautiful location centrally located, you couldn't make a better choice.
